Its name comes from a country house called ‘Quinta’ or ‘Quintana’. There, the tenants paid a fifth for the fruit collected.
Places of interest 'Quintanilla tres barrios'
Wine cellars continue to be preserved. Written works associate the reputation of the Ribera del Duero wine in Soria with Ines, Atauta and Quintanilla de Tres Barrios. In those same villages, they describe how the young people would cultivate in two hours what would have normally taken them the whole night, when they leave the wine cellar (at three in the morning).
