The Alejandro Fernández Wineries, also known as the Pesquera Group, encompass four decades of predilection for wine. Recognised with numerous awards, its founder, Alejandro Fernández, has realised his dream.
He was not able to convert an old stone wine press into his own Winery until 1972, but from a small child he had thought seriously about the idea of making wine his livelihood. A ground-breaker and reformer, his wines figure on the lists of the best international restaurants.
The vines (200 Hectares), always ending up on Low Trellises, grow on a poorly drained soil composed of limestone and clay. The Ribera del Duero’s very own air, rain and sun provide the seasoning for the creation of wines with unparalleled nuances.
