It belongs to the owners of Bodegas Fernández de Piérola whose wine-producing experience in the Rioja Alavesa provides support. They erected a building in Valcavado de Roa that is Eco-efficient and completely Environment-friendly. 100 % of its heating needs are covered thanks to Geothermal Energy.
Avoiding any loss of aroma, they use double-jacketed Stainless Steel Tanks for maceration. Afterwards, they protect the wine’s natural colour through ageing in French and American Oak Barrels.
It has Bottle racks / Recesses with room for 480 Bottles in the centre and 360 Bottles at the sides. The bottles can be bought and paid for and then allowed to remain in the Cellar. They are given individual identification and stored for a maximum of 18 months.
