Tórtoles de Esgueva has always belonged within the jurisdiction of Abadesa del Monasterio de Santa María la Real. It is found within the area, next to the copious springs that back in the day served to water the vegetable gardens.
But of it, only the patio with no religious use remains, since the nuns moved it from Aranda de Duero some time ago. Nowadays, it is private property, consisting of a retirement home and a traditional cheese factory.
At the end of the middle ages, the Gothic parish church that is dedicated to San Esteban was built. It was built next to an old fortified tower set up as a bell tower. It has three rooms that are covered with cross vaulted ceilings, in which precious drawings were drawn. The main altarpiece, from the renaissance period, is very beautiful. With regards to the outside, the southern façade stands out with a rose window.
Finally, some places of equal importance are, the chapel of San Isidro which was restored in 1998, the village’s Roman bridge, the Town Hall, the reservoir, the Parque de los Caños (Canyon Park) and the Romanesque chapel of San Cebrián.
