The village was known as ‘Las Aldehuelas’ or ‘Torre las Aldehuelas’ in the Medieval Period. In 1889 its Town Hall and primary school were restored.
Its parish church is the most interesting monument. The village has the smallest population in the whole province, located at 64 Km from Valladolid, it is placed on a hillside which allows people to obtain a beautiful panoramic of the River Duratón, with a lush and leafy nature.
All of the houses are made from stone and so too is the San Andrés church.
