The province’s small village is one of the four Segovian villages which belong to the Designation of Origin of the Ribera del Duero region.
Its parish church is dedicated to San Pedro Advíncula, it is a grand Baroque temple designed in a Latin cross plan. It houses various altarpieces, Baroque and Neoclassic alike and among these an endearing image of San Pedro on the Vatican Throne stands out.
An original Romanesque baptismal font is joined to the interesting Gothic processional cross from the XIV century.
On the outskirts of the village, near to the cemetery, the chapel of la Inmaculada Concepción can be found whose images of the altarpiece are kept in the parish. The area’s wine cellars are equally as attractive, highlighting the growing of the vines in its fields.
