Standing above the natural river valley, one enters the village through this impressive castle that dominates it. As a refuge in the 10th century, it was an important defensive frontier during the Moorish conquests.
Now badly deteriorated, the longest surviving part is the 12-13th century square tower. The wall and turrets date from 15th century. Nonetheless the Torre de Homenaje is in perfectly preserved with three floors, well-built and defensive.
A monument of cultural importance since 2010.
Open to the public at any time.
